The Living Daylights.....

A new Bond, a new Attitude. When Roger Moore retired from the Bond series after A View to a Kill, producer Albert R "Cubby" Broccoli was, for the first time in many years, without an Agent 007. The search for a new Bond began immediately, eventually, one candidate clearly stood out from the rest : Welsh-born Shakespearean actor Timothy Dalton. Released in 1987, The Living Daylights the plot concerns a diamonds for opium scheme involving a phony KGB defection and assassination operation. Director Glen opens with a thriller of a teaser as bond, in the midst of a Secret Service exercise on Gibralter, uncovers foul play and engages an assassin in battle aboard a speeding jeep loaded explosives. Shot in Vienna and Morocco, Living Daylights interweaves taut action sequences with intrigue and romantic interludes....

A View To A Kill

This is the fourteenth film of the James Bond series, and the seventh and last to star Roger Moore as
James Bond. Agent 007 is in a race against time to stop Christopher Walken who plays Max Zorin a wealthy industrialist with a hidden past who embarks on a plot to destroy the microchip producing Silicon valley. Grace Jones portrays Zorin`s lanky but powerful assistant, May Day, while former "Charlie`s Angel" Tanya Roberts plays Bond girl Stacey Sutton. Patrick Macnee, debonair star of  TV`s Avengers, brings class and a fine touch of humour to the movie in his portrayal of Bond`s
sidekick, Sir Godfrey Tibbett. A View To A Kill marked Lois Maxwell`s final appearance as M`s
ever-dependable secretary, Miss Moneypenny. The actress was the only cast member who had appeared in every Bond film since the first instalment, Dr. No.

Octopussy





Octopussy.....



The film's title is taken from a short story in Ian Fleming's 1966 short story collection, set largely in
Germany and India, this adventure puts James Bond on the trail of a priceless Fabergé egg after British agent 009 is found dead at the British embassy in East Berlin, dressed as a circus clown and carrying a fake Fabergé egg. It leads him to Octopussy's traveling circus, which is being used as a cover for a plot to explode an atomic bomb at a U.S airforce base in West Germany, the first step for a Soviet invasion of Western Europe. Maud Adams, who portrays the seductive Octopussy, is the only actress to have starred in two Bond films. She previously played the ill-fated Andrea Anders in The Man With The Golden Gun  (1974 ). Only Agent 007 can stop the nightmarish scheme!

For your eyes only marked the return of the more serious James Bond films. This was the
12th bond from United Artist and Cubby Broccoli ( Saltzman had departed following The Man With The Golden Gun ).It marked the directorial debut of John Glen, who had worked as editor and second unit director in three other Bond films. The story involves Bond`s mission to recover a stolen Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator (ATAC) a missile-launch transmitter, 007 soon allies himself with a young Greek woman Melina Havelock ( Carole Bouquet ) in a spectacular tale of deceit, treachery and vengeance. Carole Bouquet, had auditioned for the part of  Holly Goodhead in Moonraker. Although she didn`t win that role, the producers recognised that she was ideal for the part of determined Melina in For Your Eyes Only......

Moonraker.....

This is the eleventh in the James Bond series, and the fourth to star Roger Moore. As credits ended
on The Spy Who Loved Me the filmmakers made a promise to their eager audience, "James Bond will return in For Yours Eyes Only." Only a few months later, however, Producer "Cubby" Broccoli
announced that the next 007 film would be based on another book entirely : MOONRAKER.
This time JAWS was back, the giant, unbeatable henchman caught on with moviegoers, Jaws` new
boss, and new adversary, is Hugo Drax, an international tycoon who plans to destroy the human race
from outerspace, then re-populate it with his own perfect specimens. James Bond travels from Venice
to Rio and Space itself in his effort to save the world.

proclaimed the theatrical advertisement for the The Spy Who Loved Me after what had been a
significant gap between Bond films ( Two and a half years ) . Set primarily in Egypt and Italy,
the story finds Bond investigating the disappearance of British and Soviet ballistic-missile submarines and finding himself up against shipping magnate Karl Stromberg, who is orchestrating
the distruction of civilization in order to build life anew beneath the sea.

This is the ninth in the James Bond series and the second to star Roger Moore as the MI6 agent James Bond. Christopher Lee Co-stars as Scaramanga, a high priced hitman ( 1 million pound a shot) whose goal is to harness the power of the sun for his own private solar powered weapon. Britt Ekland and Maud Adams are the Bond girls this time out, Herve Villechaize is Scaramanga`s dwarf henchman Nick Nack, Clifton James returns as redneck Sheriff J.W Pepper, a comic role introduced in the last film.

Live and Let Die...

A new Bond for a new era. When Sean Connery left the series after Diamonds are Forever,
producers Albert R Broccoli "Cubby" and Harry Saltzman launched an intensive search for
another actor who could embody 007`s inimitable charm, sly humour and lethal cunning.
After months of casting calls and screen tests, they selected an actor who had already been
described "An ideal Bond " by no means less than Sean Connery himself : ROGER MOORE, 1st of many. In the film, a Harlem drug lord known as Mr. Big plans to distribute two tons of heroin free to put rival drug barons out of business. Mr. Big, however, is revealed to be the disguised alter ego of Dr. Kananga, James Bond is investigating the death of three British agents, leading him to Kananga, where he is soon trapped in a world of gangsters and voodoo as he fights to put a stop to the drug baron's scheme.

Diamonds are Forever......

The big news about the movie was Sean Connery was back to the role of James Bond.
Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli tested other actors, but studio United Artists wanted Sean Connery back. In the story Bond discovers that the evil Ernst Stavro Blofield is stock pilling diamonds to use in his deadly laser satellite. The seventh film was an extreme departure from the
tone of the series. Director Guy Hamilton decided to veer away from the "seriousness " of the previous films and instead " go for fun ." Consequently, both humor and action were broadened,
resulting in a more lighter approach of Ian Fleming`s Bond Universe.

On her Majesty`s secret service is the sixth entry in the James Bond series and released in 1969.
After the decision of Sean Connery to retire from the role a new Bond was found.
George Lazenby does a mixed review of stepping into Sean Connery as 007. While filming ( Lazenby ) decided that he would play the role of Bond only once.The story involves Bonds efforts to track down Ernst Stavro Blofield, who, it is eventually discovered, is about to threaten the world with a new kind of biological warfare from his allergy clinic in the Swiss Alps.

In 1967, Sean Connery announced that he`d had enough of playing 007 and that the fifth bond would be his last. An all out effort was made to pack this one full eg: James will die, James will marry, James will become japanese. 007 will also finally meet his faceless nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld,
head of the organisation S.P.E.C.T.R.E. In the film James Bond is dispatched to Japan after American and Soviet manned spacecraft disappear mysteriously in orbit. With each nation blaming the other.

The fourth Bond film carries a breezy air of confidence and dare as it pits 007 against S.P.E.C.T.R.E.
Bond`s mission is to find two NATO atomic bombs stolen by spectre, which  holds the world ransom for £100 million in diamonds, in exchange for not destroying an unspecified major city in either England or the United States (later revealed to be Miami.).The search leads Bond to the Bahamas,where he encounters Emilio Largo, the eye-patch wearing SPECTRE Number Two.
The title song was a strong follow-up to Goldfinger, and belted out by the great Tom Jones.

Goldfinger premiered. With its high-profile images of a fully-armed Aston Martin DB-5, a nude women painted from head to toe in gold paint. Goldfinger is the third film to star Sean Connery
and was released in 1964.The powerful tycoon Auric Goldfinger has initiated 
 " Operation Grand Slam " a cataclysmic scheme to raid Fort Knox and obliterate the world economy. The film also stars Bond girl Pussy Galore and the mute Korean manservant Oddjob
with his steel rimmed bowler hat and don`t forget Gill Masterson.

From Russia with Love. Bond is back !!!

The evil S.P.E.C.T.R.E organisation have hatched a plan to steal a Russian decoder while James Bond is sent to assist in the defection of Soviet consulate clerk Tatiana Romanova in Turkey, where S.P.E.C.T.R.E plans to avenge Bond's killing of Dr No. From Russia with Love is the first of the Bond films to introduce spy gadgets with the first appearance of Major Boothroyd-better known as Q the supplier of 007`s gadgets. From Russia with Love is considered to be one the best in the series .......

Dr No was released on the 5th of October, and was the first James Bond film. Sean Connery was given the role of 00 agent Bond. In the film James Bond is sent to the beautiful island of Jamaica to investigate the death of fellow British agent ( John Strangways ). The trail leads to evil genius Dr No, who is ploting to interfere with US missile launches using mysterious energy waves.
