The spy who loved me.....
Number Ten in the James Bond series, "It's the Biggest! It's the Best! It's Bond and Beyond!" So
proclaimed the theatrical advertisement for the The Spy Who Loved Me after what had been a
significant gap between Bond films ( Two and a half years ) . Set primarily in Egypt and Italy,
the story finds Bond investigating the disappearance of British and Soviet ballistic-missile submarines and finding himself up against shipping magnate Karl Stromberg, who is orchestrating
the distruction of civilization in order to build life anew beneath the sea.
