The Living Daylights
The Living Daylights.....
A new Bond, a new Attitude. When Roger Moore retired from the Bond series after A View to a Kill, producer Albert R "Cubby" Broccoli was, for the first time in many years, without an Agent 007. The search for a new Bond began immediately, eventually, one candidate clearly stood out from the rest : Welsh-born Shakespearean actor Timothy Dalton. Released in 1987, The Living Daylights the plot concerns a diamonds for opium scheme involving a phony KGB defection and assassination operation. Director Glen opens with a thriller of a teaser as bond, in the midst of a Secret Service exercise on Gibralter, uncovers foul play and engages an assassin in battle aboard a speeding jeep loaded explosives. Shot in Vienna and Morocco, Living Daylights interweaves taut action sequences with intrigue and romantic interludes....
