Goldeneye

Goldeneye.

In the six years following the release of  Licence To Kill (1989), the world`s geopolitical structure shifted drastically: the Berlin wall fell, communism collapsed throughout Eastern Europe, and the once mighty
Soviet Union dissolved. As the Cold War melted away, some may have thought that James Bond,
the prototypical Cold Warrior, would fade with it. Agent 007 is indeed a product of his time,
Pierce Brosnan makes his debut as the new 007. Joining him for a new era of superspy thrills is
Judi Dench, the first women to portray M, Samantha Bond as the new Miss Moneypenny; and, for
comic relief, Joe Don Baker as CIA contact Jake Wade.

This adventure finds Bond heading for Russia in search of the hijacked Goldeneye, a space-based
magnetic-pulse weapon that has been stolen by a renegade Russian general. Complicating the mission
is Bond`s discovery that the villain behind this plot is an old friend and associate, British agent 006
(Sean Bean), who plans to use the weapon to trigger a global financial collapse while filling his own
coffers in the process.

Goldeneye ( the title was adapted from the name of Ian Fleming`s home )
